uTorrent is an efficient and feature rich BitTorrent client for Windows sporting a very small footprint. It was designed to use as little cpu, memory and space as possible while offering all the functionality expected from advanced clients. With uTorrent, you can download files faster and contribute by sharing files and bandwidth. Additionally, uTorrent supports the Protocol Encryption joint specification (compatible with Azureus 2.4.0.0 and above, BitComet 0.63 and above) and peer exchange.

Thanks to thylacine for the update.

With 32-bit stable, that means 64-bit should be worked on now. Hoping for a new update from it soon.

Yes it should, you go into http://www.utorrent....turning-visitor there is only "v.3.0 download" (which is -32 bit) so we that have -64 bit then?

I think they should type "Utorrent v.3.0 for windows -32 bit"

This all functions in 3.0 is unnecessary. Torrent client should provide download torrent files. ONLY this. We do not need 'all in one torrent client'. uT in v1.8 is ideal. Why it is still develop?

Labradoodle

I don't like the overhaul they did in this version..it's more of a bloatware the way I look at it. I'm sticking with v2.2.1 for now, it's simpler & equally functional as the new one. Besides, less is more--which makes it better IMO. B)

DreamHaters

Meh i think they're just cluttering the program with stuff not really needed IMO.

But either way thanks for the update.

A bit of a downer. I chose to use utorrent back in the day because I wanted a small no nonsense client. To see the direction its going in today is lame.

I would honestly be using the 1.8 version if I didn't think it wasn't secure.. and the WebUI.. ( even made a dark skin.. :P then they decided to start changing things.. ) The extra applications and things are doing nothing more than following a trend.. The streaming I though was a good idea.. until you realize that not all things are meant to be streamed.. :lmao: and of course that it winds up just being problematic the last time I checked.. I think I even still have a copy of 1.8.. somewhere..

If you don't like extra features then don't use them, utorrent is still small enough that using newer versions shouldn't bother any1. There's official forum if you need to post your wishlist.

Those not liking the new looks, you can customize it all you want. The seeds, peers, downloaded; sidebar, graph, it's tabs, etc. Everything is customizable.

I tested it and works OK with all sites I use :) I'll stay with v3 for now.
