toyo
CrystalDiskInfo is a HDD/SSD utility which support S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis, and Reporting Technology). This includes such details as current drive temperature, firmware version, number of failed read or write attempts, how long the drive has been running and how often it's been started and stopped, and so on. As various factors approach thresholds of danger, CrystalDiskInfo will alert you, letting you know it's time to make backups while you still can. Thanks to thylacine for the update.Download
Psycho-gHo
I am just wondering how accurate this program is considering that other programs rate my SSD has 'failure is imminent' and this gives it 98% health. HD Inspector and HD Sentinel are the two I use more frequently.
Maxhedroom
Most HDD apps are hit and miss with SSDs (mostly miss..lol). Ocz and Intel have toolboxes and are spot on of course. Some people who's drive doesn't have a toolbox like the 'SSD Life' app. It gives a standard smart readout and also predicts the approx failure date judging by how old your drive is and how much use it sees. Also, unlike Sentinel, CDI can not see your hdds if they are part of a raid array..I have a total of 6 drives (ssds and hdds) in raid so it's a total non-starter. Here's an old screenie of what the Ocz toolbox shows.
