tempaccess
Recently tried to download avg and run a keygen from 9down.com (http://www.9down.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Internet-Security-v7-5-Build-503a1171-18862/) when a user named rachel78 posted:"100% Working http://://rapidshare.com/files/64866354/AVG_A...atest.rar"in the file was a file called keygen but it just so happened to be some type of file to fuck up windows... so it removed my shutdown button, removed the run button, and disable taskmanager as a result of not having administrative rights anymore... i dont know what else it has done so far.. anyone have any ideas on how to fix it ? check the picture, any help is appreciated:http://img152.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1212oe6.jpg
Samurai
I don't really have much time at the moment as I'll be out shortly, but if you read this before I can further get invloved, try this.BTW, please tell me you had an antivirus running before you downloaded the file?Firstly, reboot into safe mode, and if possible run Spybot, Ad-Aware and your AV. Hopefully this should find anything rogue on your system.
Administrator Lite Posted October 27, 2007 Administrator Share Posted October 27, 2007 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555480 The option to "remove" the shutdown button is also in the group policy editor :dance2:Also, download/ run hijack this and post a log here. myidisbb
does not the 9down link and rapidshare one need to go? at least edit it so it doesnt do anything. god forbid someone downloads that link and gets it too :dance2:do a restore point going back before that problem. that helps with IE hyjackings.btw which windows os and 32 or 64 bit you using?which winrar version you using? older ones let nasties in also check host file to make sure they didnt put virus companies in it to block you from getting an online scan.
