Nima Posted May 31, 2011 Share Posted May 31, 2011 Hello all,I have a suggestion about Opera in frontpage.If you see carefully we have links in this format:Windows (Final) + Mac + Linux: get7.opera.com/......Windows (Beta): get.geo.opera.com/......Opera named and linked their servers by numbers like get7, get6, get5 or by country name like gd.tuwien.ac.at (You can see servers list here http://www.opera.com/browser/download/).The thing that I want to say is that it's better if we do not choose any servers and let Opera do it, in this case if one day a specific server fails to serve people our link in frontpage won't be marked as "broken".To do this we need to remove the server name and put only get.Like these:Windows 11.11 FinalLinux 11.11 FinalMac OSX 11.11 FinalWindows 11.50 Beta 1(Although the GEO is Global Opera Software server but it is same as GET)What will happen in this case?First of all, all links now are arranged and classified and all follow the main Opera Software server.Second, If for example server get7 got down or something, the link will work and user will connected to another available server.Thanks,Nima Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
