toyo
Foxit Reader is a free PDF document viewer and printer, with incredible small size, breezing-fast launch speed and amazingly rich feature set. In the past, you have to download a huge PDF Reader from another software company, go through a lengthy installation process and wait for an annoying splash window to disappear just to open a PDF document. Moreover, if you want to annotate a PDF document, you have to pay US$299 to buy that certain PDF software. Thanks to thylacine for the update.Download

Jota.Ce
Foxit Lite is required!!! xDDDDDI liked v2.3, and noted a slowdown when upgrading to 3.0Don't know how 5.0 will be, but they're forcing people to go out and search alternatives.

johndoe
no, it doesn't work that way, it tried to install something even if you check everything off. i know because i deliberately kept firefox running while doing the foxit install and the installer was freezing in one place, expecting or wanting or waiting to have firefox closed so it could install its crap. i opened task manager, killed a couple of suspicious looking tasks and the installed unfroze and completed install successfully.i have made a slim kind of installer from that install i did on my PC without any adware or crap installed of course. may I share here on the forums for whatever friends want to download / install ? Administrator DKT27 Posted May 27, 2011 Administrator Share Posted May 27, 2011 They seem to have updated the installer with an option to uncheck the toolbar, so no problems anymore. :)

johndoe
Here's the ad-free installer I created using the bare essential files from within the regular Foxit installer. It's a totally silent WinRAR SFX that extracts the files contained within (which you can examine of course) to the "Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader" folder and creates a shortcut to Foxit Reader on your desktop (which you are free to delete of course if you like an uncluttered desktop). There's no start menu shortcuts created nor installation or uninstallation entries. Just delete the folder if you wish to uninstall!
