1 - start notepad > start > type notepad

2 - copy and paste the following text in Bold in the notepad

X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*

3 - save as blablabla.txt.

Try it! it worked with KIS11 within 5 seconds.

Let me know if it works with others as well!!

Eicar test file is just one of the very basic 'demo' virus files .....

which any working anti virus should catch as a threat ....

for a complete and better testing of your anti virus and the whole security set up of your computer , that is not just the anti virus but complete set up ,

grill your system with these 20 comprehensive and complete testing tools , --- Test your Security Set Up , posted in the forums ....

and see how does your system fare and score and does it work well ... ... ;) :)

If your AV doesn't detect this classic virus test , you can change it right now!

I'm sure even Avast can see it :sneaky:
