Ronin Posted October 16, 2007 Share Posted October 16, 2007 I have Vista Home Premium and for some reason when idle the cooling fan runs at high for about 3 sec. and my pc shuts down and restarts itself.The event id is 6008 but I could not get any additional info.I also did a virus/spyware scan and nothing.Does anyone know what causes this and how to correct it? Ronin Posted October 20, 2007 Author Share Posted October 20, 2007 Have you read this article?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326564Thanx for that link.After a couple of days of tinkering I found that PG2 beta was conflicting with my system.I don't know if PG2 beta is compatible with Vista Home Premium but after I uninstalled PG2 and installed BLM I've had no problems since.
