I can't access nsaneforums and nsanedown

I hope this "guest" thing doesn't become some twisted new fad. Could you please forget about old grudges, disappointments or whatever reasons you might have for posting as a guest and invest time in your accounts?

Thanks.

The problem with this is that he'll have to connect the PC to this wifi enabled 3G modem/phone using a wifi access point or a wifi dongle

What's the problem - he's anyways using a dongle that has caused the birth of this thread . . . . . . . . :dunno:

otherwise if he chooses bluetooth/data cable there goes his phone's mobility !

I've never made any mention of bluetooth / data cable - it's clearly and exclusively WiFi (I repeat calls can be received & made simultaneously while surfing the net.). B)

There again you're assuming he's got a wifi enabled phone now even if he has one what about the sim card(assuming its GSM or with a t-sim) & the calls he receives through it ? Surely he doesn't have a dual/multi sim 4G super phone with wifi & bluetooth 4.0 :notworthy:

I'm not assuming anything - I'm simply asking him the make & model of his phone so that an alternate internet connection in the form of WiFi can be used (provided he's interested.)

Now, if you've got any suggestions to alleviate his connection problems, I'd appreciate you trying to concentrate on that rather than questioning solutions being offered by others.

As I'd mentioned earlier that its probably an

1) AV/firewall problem perhaps something to do with cookies as well otherwise I can't think of any other way someone can access other sites/forum accounts (assuming he's not having problems on other sites) whilst his system

2) isn't hacked or his

3) ISP hasn't blocked access here btw José should try accessing via VPN to see if that works for him otherwise its 1 or 2 nothing else comes to my mind :blink:

Do you really suppose somebody who is holding on to grudges / disappointments would would waste his precious time in helping out somebody (who doesn't even know the difference between a cellphone and a modem.)

and invest time in your accounts?

Thanks.

Thanks . . . . . . . . . . but, no thanks - I think I've gained enough and more experience, after having been rewarded with equal measure of dis-respect for the time that I've already spent on my account in the past.

I hope this "guest" thing doesn't become some twisted new fad.

Well OK, since you find this twisted, this is the last you'll see of me . . . . . . . . . good-luck.

Ok, bye! Thanks for your help though.

@José

I would advise re-installing Windows... If you can't even access our site using safe mode with network access.

dcs18, you managed to make many friends here, and from what I saw, they were saddened by your self-imposed ban. It's unrealistic to expect that everybody will like and appreciate you, and being liked by many will most probably make a few jealous. Obviously, it's your decision if you let these inevitable things to affect you or not.

Also, my purpose was not to make you stop posting, I just thought there was little sense in posting with your name (as a guest), instead of logging in and doing the same thing, and that maybe the time washed away some of the bitterness. I felt that, you know, it would be OK to extend a friendly virtual hand towards you, with the proposition to put everything that happened behind and return.

Mobile broadband doesn't work under safe mode even with network access cause there are a few services disabled like WWAN/pportable device enumerator etc bw he should reinstall windows if he must access nsanedown & forums ;)

This probably won't help and I know nothing about 3g phones but I'm using Malwarebytes, on my computer and had to add nsane's IP address to their "ignore list" to gain access to this site.

Seriously? That's odd... Was this the forum or the frontpage IP?

@José

If you have time tomorrow evening (evening in GMT+2) I could use TeamViewer to take a look at a couple of things... (It's much faster to do troubleshooting in person.)

If you'd like that please send me a PM about when you're available, I can't promise anything, but I'll try ;)

So I took a look at your system. First impression: WOW, you have way too many programs running in the background :P

I still have no idea what the actual problem is, but I did manage to confirm 100% that this is caused by software on your PC. I would advise re-installing Windows, it might speed up some stuff as well. Just write/type down which programs you have installed and will need to install again and you can have it done within a day.

Some uninstaller softwares allow you to make a txt file that has names of the softwares installed. :)

But I'd advice you start by uninstalling the security softwares first, see if that works, if it doesn't reinstall windows.

@José Matías Lemos:

Just do an upgrade install. It might fix things that were messed up by 3rd party programs.

Oh boy. There's a lot of software. Do you need it all? Better just start clean and take proper care of the system, install only what's really needed and test stuff in a virtual machine or sandbox.

Also, you have Comodo and ESET running in the same time, I think?

Oh, OK then. In your listed log it shows as "COMODO Internet Security", which also contains a antivirus, so I thought you are possibly running two AVs at the same time, but seems everything is fine. I see some notation software/ASIO4ALL. Are you a musician? Maybe you post a few songs when you return :)
