01.) Did you receive a success notification after the reset?

02.) Did you reboot after that?

Why are you replying as guest? Why don't you log in with you user name?

Cheers ;)

some body played a cruel joke on you , and blocked nsane forums access from your pc , by creating a web block .bat file for it , running it and then hiding it

or added nsaneforums to your Hosts file and blocked it

or blocked nsaneforums in the web access module of your security set up ... :P

I use a 3G USB MOBILE MODEM not a cell phone

I've also have a 3G Mobile USB modem btw the problem is usually caused by some AV/firewall, in my case, so try disabling first the firewall then the AV with the firewall turned OFF see if that helps otherwise try doing a system restore cause if its a driver issue you'll trouble undoing it btw how long/since when are you having this problem I mean have you installed some software or anything else in the meantime ?

lol ... :)

well ., every single method of getting the site to open from your end has been suggested by the members , but with no results ...

so what i suggested , could be the last thing that can be possible and what i could think of ...

if not ,

then either you are doing some thing wrong , or messed up some thing in the system which you are not aware of ,

or

your pc is High and acting weird ... :P

( for trying out ,

--set your Hosts files to default.

--under your Network Settings , configure it to acquire an IP automatically and DNS server Automatically , rather than you setting it up .

--then try it with Automatic IP address and manually configuring the DNS server , first to Open DNS , Google DNS and like .

--you dint report the Tracert log as suggested by shought ...?

--did you try ping from your end ?

--just a last thing , just let a chkddsk/r or sfc/scannoow to run ...just for the sake of running them , dont think it is causing an error ... )

jokes apart ,

hope you find a solution soon ..

good luck ... ^_^

( and do report what went wrong )

Oh hi, mara- :)

Well, a couple of the staff seem to have a fixation for 'Leechers' at the cost of genuine 'Posters.' So, I made a personal correction in my character (not that I find anything timely to leech out here, never did.)

Your ISP that provides you internet services over your 3G USB Mobile Modem seems to have black-listed / gray-listed the site.

Provided your cellphone is equipped with 3G, let me know if you're interested in getting it on tethering mode to gain access to the site - you'll need to post the make & model of your handset, here.

If the arrangement works you can kiss your USB modem & ISP good-bye . . . . . . . . forever ;)

Oh yeah btw I had this with Google's chrome after installing AVG IS & then even with Avast IS where the problem was their browser addons wherein I couldn't surf the web even when I disabled the firewall then the AV but to no avail so I uninstalled them still somewhere in the registry &/or in the system some leftover pieces of junk from the AV have left chrome unusable so I installed portable versions of firefox (stable release, beta, aurora & even nightly, all four have seperate profiles though) in short try portable versions of those browsers & see to it that no addon/extension/plugin is blocking your access here otherwise you're screwed & will have to reinstall the system ofcourse that'd be a bit of an overkill for your for your favorite site

Well he won't be able to receive calls if he's surfing the web on a 3G network cause you can do only one of those at a time don't know about much about wifi enabled handsets though

When tethered, a 3G enabled device is employed as a WiFi modem; whereby not only can calls be received but can also be made.

The problem with this is that he'll have to connect the PC to this wifi enabled 3G modem/phone using a wifi access point or a wifi dongle otherwise if he chooses bluetooth/data cable there goes his phone's mobility !

What's the problem - he's anyways using a dongle that has caused the birth of this thread . . . . . . . . :dunno:

otherwise if he chooses bluetooth/data cable there goes his phone's mobility !

I've never made any mention of bluetooth / data cable - it's clearly and exclusively WiFi (I repeat calls can be received & made simultaneously while surfing the net.). B)

There again you're assuming he's got a wifi enabled phone now even if he has one what about the sim card(assuming its GSM or with a t-sim) & the calls he receives through it ? Surely he doesn't have a dual/multi sim 4G super phone with wifi & bluetooth 4.0 :notworthy:

I thought we had figured out this not being any connection related problem since you stated that it worked well on a virtual machine. Install from fresh for sure :)

I have not installed any new software. I use ESET NOD32 ANtivur 4 and Comodo Firewall Pro

I'm not assuming anything - I'm simply asking him the make & model of his phone so that an alternate internet connection in the form of WiFi can be used (provided he's interested.)

Now, if you've got any suggestions to alleviate his connection problems, I'd appreciate you trying to concentrate on that rather than questioning solutions being offered by others.
