zen
HI! Do you like TRIAL ESET versions more than COMMERCIAL ESET VERSIONS? WHY??? Can you give me some explanation, please?I'm not understanding why you don't like "NodLogin" & "Grabador" fixes that works OK over COMMERCIAL ESET versions. Can you explain me?Thanks in advanced!!! :)
KotaXor
For those who are using Nodlogin, here is a note from Chappy, who help to test it:First & foremost, my undying Gratitude to Ulises for making the mostuseful piece of software I have on my computer, and many Thanks to allthose who help in this project and moderate the group list.My NodLogin for Vista 64bit is working perfectly and I couldn't behappier!!It's hard not to notice the amount of concern that the change of colorin the NOD32 icon can cause in the Group lately, and hopefully I canhelp ease some of those concerns a little for you all.I was an independant tester of "New & Unknown Varients" for major Anti-Virus and Anti-Malware companies for 7 years, until most companiesbecame big enough to employ as many testers as they needed and nolonger used independant testers. I've also been a Beta Tester for Esetproducts for 5 years now, so I know how their products work. This isjust a little background on me to show you that I know how antivirusand virus works. The icon color change really means very little and in no way does itaffect how your protection is working or make you any more vulnerableto attack. The color change is only showing that the current licenseis about to expire, but your virus signature database is (or shouldbe) still current and the Nod32 product is still functioning properlyeven if the icon color is orange or red. Even if your signaturedatabase is slightly behind, maybe 1 or 2 updates behind, you are inno real danger of becoming infected by something from the updates youdon't have, and here's the reason why. Most of the new virussignatures added to daily updates are not "In The Wild" varients, theyare usually only "Proof of Concept" varients which are not actuallybeing used in public so there's really no chance of anyone becominginfected by one. Only 1 or 2 of the hundreds of new signatures addedevery week are actually "In the Wild" types which are being used inpublic on a very limited basis, so again it's highly unlikely thatanyone would run into one. But even if you are unlucky enough to beone of the very few that does run into something bad that's not inyour signature database yet, the excellent heuristics engine of Nod32would most likely still detect and stop it, so you're still wellprotected. Most of this is still not a big deal because normally the next timeNodLogin is activated, you'll recieve a new license and things will begood once again in short order. As far as I've seen, the orange coloris merely indicating that the license will expire in 3 or 4 days soeverything is still working 100% and there's nothing to worry aboutsince you'll probably run NodLogin before then and a new license willbe inserted for you.The Red color "usually" indicates that the license is expired, butyour antivirus product is still fully functional and you probably havea current or very close to current database, so the chances ofbecoming infected is nearly impossible still because of what Iexplained above. If the red colored icon is indicating something otherthan the license having expired and there really IS a problem withyour protection, Nod32 will inform you of this with a popup messagetelling you what the problem is so you can look after it properly. Sojust to sum this up, the Nod32 AV scanner and engine doesn't stopworking when the icon color changes, so your still fully protected, and the chances of being infected if you're missing an update or twois practically zero.I really hope that this explanation helps to ease the concerns of somepeople when they see that icon has changed color. You're not in anydanger and it's only temporary.I'm sorry this is all in English, hopefully someone in the group cantranslate it for the non English speakers in the group if they havetime.Take Care everyone! drameet
i have used trial althrough and i get module updates once in 10 days or so! Modules maybe bug fixes for the program! recently i have deactivated the module update becos i think it could result in inactivation of the trial fix i use! I believe that definition updates are the one that u need for protection against viruses
