If there are any FiX makers here, you all should open a separate sticky thread. It makes thinks more organizes. Plus more manageable that way.

can someone give me a guide on how to make a clean uninstall of ESS? pls..im a noob..sorry..>.<

I suggest you do the following ....

1. Quit the active NOD32 processes in the system tray (lower right

corner of your screen). If you're running XP you cannot quit the Control

Center ... but that doesn't matter.

2. Uninstall NOD32 using its own uninstaller, which is located in directory

C:\Program Files\Eset\

3. If NOD32 wants to reboot your PC ... let it.

4. Delete the folder C:\Program Files\Eset and its contents, if it was not

removed during uninstallation

5. Reboot your computer

Because box is busy, you can PM me to send you his fix. Since I created application for applying his fix, I think he won't mind that I send somebody the fix.

I will send the same link that Box gave me. Here is MD5 checksums and Box can confirm it:

After using box fix(auto).. it says trial verison 31 days left...is it normal?

Yes it is normal. Every time you restart your computer trial time will be reseted to 31.

Cheers

Already installed Box-mara fix (automatic) and 1st update of course has to be done manually.

I`ll give you news tomorrow, but I am almost sure that it will updates automatically and resets to 30 days.

Box1 Fix (manual) works fine (no doubt) on my WinXP Professional / x86 sense 2 days ago-Trial version (showing 31 /30 days)

for ever (at least this version ).

I think those using System x64 should try this Auto-Fix and feedback later saying if it works or not.

You may also PM me (Jofre) because already received box-mara fix automatic installation. I will send you ESS 3.0.642 program and fix or just the fix.

Now... a Fix for ever and ever, that would be wonderful !!!

This would be a Real Success ! !!!!....

cheers

Jofre

NO!!!

well i see no problem with that... what eset should see is that you are using a trial version, so why you can't send them suspicious files?

and about program components this is tricky... if this fix is going to work with future versions then why not :dance2:

if they come up with a component that kills the fix then it's bad... but like experience show only major releases fix our fix'es :dance2:

i haven tried the your automatic fix jet (manual one works just fine) i'll try it tomorow, or maybe i'll wait for that FOREVER fix... but any way i have a question about it.

how does that timer reset actually work? does the fix add a batch file to startup like in the manual version? or does it add a windows service like temdono fix?

It add a service. But I made it smarter then TemDono so it always start before NOD32. User will never need two restarts to reset trial back to 31.

Cheers ;)

I'm running into two technical issues at a moment. I don't think that I will be able to resolve them soon. BoxForever is a new method of resetting the trail date back to 31 days without using any fix or patch. Sorry for all the hypes.
