guys..whats the latest version of nod32 v3???i downloaded the trial version 3days ago from eset

and the version is 3.0.566 and in nsane it has version 3.0.621...why is that happenning?did the version change during these 3 days???also shouldnt have nod32 notify me for this new version???i'm using km92 patch but i deleted the server,i filled the trial username and password and clicked to update and it says that everything is up to date..back to km92 patch again..thanks in advance for your help.. :welcome:

Nope, Eset doesn't update from v3.0.566 to v3.0.621, at least not yet. It just updates the virus definitions, so for a program update you need to go to their site(for now).

I say 'not yet' and (for now) because i'm almost sure they're going to change this, maybe when they get more/better servers :pirate:

The fix will be released when it's ready, and it IS being worked on (for the other guy who said nsane probably isn't working on one). They are working very hard on it and have released numerous Beta's for testing to some individuals who are comfortable Beta testing s'ware. The current Beta seems stable but so have others and then they encounter a problem. The new NOD V3 is more complex and therefor much more difficult to establish a stable fix for it, so....

PLEASE....those of you who don't know what goes on in the background or at the "other site"....STOP spreading rumors and FUD!

You're not doing anyone (especially yourselves) any good. Nsane and the group are most certainly working on this....beta's have been released for testing, but it's just taking longer than expected to stabilize it. It will be stabilized, and it WILL be released when it is. Till then you have 2.70.39 or you can use KM92's patch and server (Thx for this KM92!!!).

So, there's no sense in anyone posting anymore unfounded rumors & FUD. Just stay tuned and when it's finished it'll be posted.

And I could say something about YOUR post count here too...but I've been doing this long enough to know that a person's post count means NOTHING! I don't know you and I don't know your work, or lack of for that matter, but obviously you seem to put allot of stock in someone's post count...you'll learn better someday.

This 6 day old poster has been working in the background towards this for awhile, and just because this was the first time I "chose" to post, doesn't mean it's my only contribution here...or elsewhere for that matter. I just happen to be top Admin at 4 Tech help sites with over 450,000 total members, and I've been an independent virus/trojan/malware tester (unknown new varients) for over 8 years, and for very well known products. I know you'll come back with "name some...", but due to being an "Independent", I am bound by rules that I refuse to break, here or anywhere else.

Still, no matter what my post level here may show, the message is still very valid is it not?

We don't need FUD...we don't need conjecture from folks who know not what's happening in the background...and we don't need to hear things like what we've seen posted lately!!

No doubt the ESET engineers are fully aware of NOD Fixes and worked very hard to close that door...so let's give the guys our support and patience please. Pray tell how would this crack work since there is nothing to crack? Oh, I know, you want to mess around in the registry and make it say your license expires in 2020? Easy. Want a screenshot? I'll make it say any date you like within the next couple of decades, maybe more. But that’s not a solution as I will explain.

Now onto the other part of the licensing protection in ESS and EAV 3.x

Since you’re so knowledgeable I suppose you already know that the only thing besides that little number in the registry the other thing that will stop you getting updates from ESET's servers is not having a valid username and password. You think they're hacking ESET's servers? They’re not. No username/password, no updates.

“But what about the trial?” you might ask. Of course! However, unlike 2.x, ESET don't use a universal trial username and password, the ones included in the trial are time limited. When ESET's servers say they expire - they expire. No deleting registry keys (hello NodFix I'm looking at you...) will prevent that. Get a valid username and password or you can forget about updates. It's that simple. (Here is your solution – just use your imagination – but it's but it's still not a crack! :welcome:)

There are other options, but all of them require obtaining a username and password that will be accepted by ESET's servers, be it keygens, brute force or theft of legitimate user passwords. None of these are cracks.

Then there's the idea of redirecting ESS/EAV to third party servers that mirror ESET updates. But this is hardly a secure or reliable solution in my opinion. But it is just my opinion, each to their own and if you feel comfortable with this solution then kudos to you.

I put it to you that there is no crack.

incurable, username was just making a point about the fact that for ESS/EAV there won't be a 'crack' in it's exact meaning. There will be ways to work around the problem of inserting a username and password, but you won't be able to 'crack' the .exe. In the exact meaning of a crack nsane's --->fix<--- for NOD32 v2.7 wasn't a crack too, but people tend to just call everything that licenses something without having to pay for it a crack. However i think we should not start making arguments about this because we all knew which meaning of 'crack' is meant when being said. And if i'm not totally mistaken... Chappy didn't use the word 'crack', did he?

So what the 'hack' are we talking about, let's all just take some 'crack' and let someone else 'fix' this ;-) And if you guys don't i'll 'patch' you up with some bruises... :pirate:

Ok.I found a workaround.You can manually download the update.(PM me if u need the address).Create a folder nod_upd in C:.Choose the same as update server.Thats it. :)

that patch on softexia primarily adds km92's server and deletes the username and password...its not really a patch but it gets u the updates
