Alpha1BA
Hiya, Do I need to install a seperate firewall inside virtualbox or is Comodo sufficient on the host machine? tia
shought
Thanks :)If you (want to) use application based rules (on the virtual OS) then yes.I'm not sure whether you would need it for any other purposes really... (If I'd have to guess I'd say yes, you do need it.)(The question of whether you need a dedicated firewall on your virtual machine (instead of the Windows Firewall) is however another one. It all depends on what you're trying to reach.)
Alpha1BA
Thank you! :)I'm using it in the fight against evil and wanted a robust fw just in case (dunno if this is possible or not) something actually popped out of or caught any of the info of the host. I noticed that Comodo on the host has picked up the network in the vm and seems to be regulating from the host but not certain. Also, anyone else had issues with CyberGhost binding accounts? I formatted a day after binding and have been unable to unbind, as it were! there is a 30day limit so just a warning to those using CG and regularly formatting.
