Your Uninstaller! 7.3.2011.2 crack by vitcum

Not tested, use at your own risk!

Replace Urmain.exe and enter serial.

P.S. Chrichton - yes, it`s that crack, so just wait, thanks for the headsup

There is a crack circulating already (EXE to overwrite and then manually enter registration details) but I think it is better to "wait" for a release from a more "known" group.

And, after all, is just a new version of probably the best Windows uninstaller...nothing urgent ;).

Sternog it so nice of you to post the patch only. I really hate to download from people who include big installation files as well just to increase their premium filesharing stats.

Nice work...Deserving forum star.

Guys- A WARNING. I downloaded the 2011 version from CNET earlier today. Beside the install program running, a file "cc.exe" also tried to run. I use Comodo so it was blocked, but right after the install finished I ran a Hitman Pro scan and it determined that CC.exe is a rootkit. I uploaded it to VirusTotal and the file was flagged bad by only Prevx and Ikarus (ikarus is Very good, btw). I submitted it to Sunbelt's sandbox and got a report saying it was HEUR/Crypted.

Can you submit the link to the report or upload the cc.exe filed to mediafire.com (maybe you'll need to archive it). It's most probably a false positive.

You can also help the antivirus developers by sending them such files, so they can exclude the false positives from the database or streamline the heuristic process.

I got the file directly from CNET. I went there because I can't connect with ursoftware for some reason. I did let CNET know about it already, prior to my post above.

The files on Medifire may be unaffected, but I will try them in my VM and report back if the same file is seen.

I meant if you can upload the suspect cc.exe file to mediafire so others can take a look :)

Let us know what CNET respond, please.

Thanks.

Sorry about that! I misunderstood. First off, here is the link: Mediafire

I did a little more research also. It seems that ALL of the installers will yield this file. If you want to try that out, start one of the YR installers. If you are not alerted by whatever Anti-malware program you are using about cc.exe, then just open Task Manager and you will see that it is running. You can end that process (it will be found in Documents and settings/Name/Local Settings/Temp/whatever directory) and the actual installer will start and install the program successfully.

cc.exe will try to modify RPC control/DNS resolver as well as modifying \Device\afd\endpoint. Now I don't know what that means but it sounds bad!!!

I also did a on-demand scan with Esmisoft AntiMalware an the file showed up as this:

cc.exe description

This may or may not be a false positive and I don't want to start a panic, but I really thought that this should be shared.

VirusTotal Report

Jotti Report

It seems just a UPX packed file that is used to set language preferences for the setup, maybe. These false positives are sadly not rare. I can only say that Kaspersky has done a very good job until now regarding this issue, I sent only 4 or 5 samples to them in more than 10 years of using KIS, and they corrected the false positive in the next update.

What really rang bells for me was that fact that cc.exe executes and modifies things before the installer starts. That is not normal behavior, whether something is packed or not.

sternog & Toyo- Thank you very much for your concern. It does indeed seem that this is a FP, but no matter if it is or not it can be safely sandboxed or terminated and still let the Installer do its thing.

I apologize for the false alarm but was concerned for our members.

While I lack the necessary determination to further analyse a part of a legit application that I don't even use, I'm sure that contacting Your Uninstaller Pro team here: [email protected] will grant you some insight into cc.exe's behaviour. Just make sure you explain in detail what is happening and that your inquiry is for the guys developing the application, not for sales department or whatever and, of course, do let us know what their response is :)

There's nothing to apologise for, you made an instrumented inquiry, based on fact not on paranoia or magic.

I've got the following warning from Eset when trying to install the application, apparently it is connected with a toolbar. See screenshot:
