Olexijl
And here it is, when start downloading via IE9. IE integration in IDM is enabled. Here you go:PS: Solved when IE integration is disabled! Here you go:
toyo
Yes, we saw that before. However, it is (most probably) a IDM (or download manager) issue, since the proxy is fine if you download from it simply from the browser. Did you try that, to download from the proxy without a download manager installed?
Olexijl
The following seems to work.1. completely remove IDM.2. reinstall IDM.
toyo
Strangely-strange, but what matters is that you got it solved and it's now working for you as you wish it to.
shought
The following seems to work.1. completely remove IDM.2. reinstall IDM.Very odd, but I'm glad you managed to solve it.I'll try to look into what could possibly cause this issue (server side) when I have some time to do so ;)
Olexijl
Well, for some reason the clean install of IDM helped. However funny enough, that such a thing should be removed first, than reinstalled.I am glad i do not need to download any IDM patches, which could be applied. My license is kept even when IDM is completely removed! Even when updated! That is really great. The best decision of my life was to buy that thing... :)Besides: I never understood, why the proxy downloading is so long between klicking on link and getting some file to download. Can this be tuned? I klick on the link, wait some time and get the file i wanna download, but it is long time for me.Question off-topic: what does it mean, when i try to insert an image URL, and i get an error, "You are not allowed to use this image extension in this forum"?The only thing is to upload image, say to http://www.imagehack.us , and then to try put it here. It has PNG or JPG extension. The only workaround would be to use the special URL tag of imagehack.us...
toyo
Please use another image hosting service, imageshack pictures are not visible for all our members sadly, due to their stupid recent policy change.
shought
I believe posting of images might be disabled in this section, not sure why. Not a big deal anyway, will look into it.The proxy downloading takes some time because it is downloading through a proxy (pretty straightforward :P). We do not host the files, we just link to them through the proxy. You have to request the file, this request has to be sent to our server, then to another server, then the file needs to be fetched, sent 'through' our server and to your PC.There might be ways to make minor speed improvements, but none that I can think of when looking at the code.
