I have the same CPU as DKT27 in my laptop [Dell XPS 15]. :) I can't complain on anything (cpu or machine). ;)

No i7 until now. Even with Intel's (largely successful) efforts to reduce prices, it's obviously still too expensive for the masses :( Well, maybe next year...

@toyo:

Wise move. Even I wait for Intel to release new generation processors before I upgrade ^_^

My "wisdom" is momentarily just a lack of money. If I had enough $, I would buy a quad Sandy Bridge right away. Then an Ivy Bridge. And so on :)

Anyway, my old [email protected] GHz is working just fine for now. Let's also welcome the first i7...

own Intel Core2Duo P8600 @ 2,4GHz in notebook... why? Hm, because old AMD Turion X2 Mobile is too damn hot and has shorter battery life than Intel Core2Duo...

i know my laptop too does that too

the new phenom ii still has a crappy heat sink and will over heat without the proper ventilation. Even with 3 case fans its still running a little hot i guess im going to buy some more case fans or just get a new heat sink ;p

Got a

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Overclocked to 3.3 GHz (40%) from 2.4GHz

on my desktop.

And a Intel Dual Core Processor in my Macbook, not sure which one at present and not in the mood to find out as one, it's effort and I'm tired enough and two, it will probably depress me :P lol

I am tempted to buy a i7 Bundle, but money at the moment while learning to drive, and budgeting for a car isn't looking promising, besides this system still kicks ass. :)
