Administrator Lite Posted September 8, 2007 Administrator Share Posted September 8, 2007 FrostWire is a free Gnutella client based on LimeWire distributed under terms of the GPL. It was created in September 2005 after LimeWire LLC received a cease and desist letter from the RIAA, threatening to sue them for millions of dollars unless they stop their users from offering copyrighted songs. Unwilling to take the matter to court, LimeWire implemented a filter, preventing its users from sharing audio files that did not contain either a commercial Weed license or a Creative Commonse License.Download
MrVoice
Hope they've gotten the issue of not being able to preview incomplete downloads fixed. I'll be switching back to Frostwire from Limewire, if they have.Edit: Anybody know why when I install a new version of Frostwire it can't find the downloads I had running prior to the upgrade? Even Limwire (which I haven't uninstalled, yet, and which I was using for these files) can't seem to find the old downloads, now. I'm torqued, can anybody help?
