I already reinstalled Windows in VMWare, so I can't make it. I'm trying to make Diskeeper work again.

Cheers ;)

Well, i know how to register it, however it's defrag engine will constantly fail on me so this program is pretty much worthless for me on WinXP SP3 32bit.

How to patch and register Diskeeper?

Extract tab.dll (32bit or 64bit depending on which WIndows you use) and patcher EXE into the same folder. Make sure Diskeeper is installed. Run the patcher and click Clear license button to erase any existing licenses. Click Patch button. Now click Apply button next to each and every option above in the patcher. When you do all that, click button to apply the license. This way it will get registered each and every time no problem.

But as i said, this patch doesn't seem to work right. Either just with WinXP or in general. Diskeeper does start like it should but i just can't defrag anything by myself. If i click Defrag button it takes like 10 seconds and then it says the defrag engine failed and thats it.

Diskeeper always starts with admin privilage

The reason I ask is that I remember I previously could not get Diskeeper 2010 to function properly unless I made the shortcut with administrator rights. I do not remember why this problem occurred. :)

Here is a way to succeed in reinstalling the application after it expires and gain again 45 days.

When you get this :

expire.jpg

1- Delete this key in your registry : [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{1BF7AD4B-C999-35C8-80B1-F39F39588593}\MiscStatus]

2- uninstall the application

3- install it again

you should get this :

okagain.jpg

please test and report.

Thanks

:hi: Tony !

Thanks for the " Trial Reset "! I am going to do it when time comes, because this time I suspect there will be none medicine for this version...or... maybe I am wrong. :)

Just notice I do not have such Registry Key you posted above...--» [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{1BF7AD4B-C999-35C8-80B1-F39F39588593}\MiscStatus]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As already said, mine is WinXP Pro SP3 32 bits.

Already tried Patch by@Shajt and it`s the same --» If I use Manual Defrag several times 5,6,7 x...stops working. Same as before with Betamaster and Freddyfre.

So, not well done yet...

I do not have such a key also, on Windows 7 x86 Ultimate, maybe you can post content of that registry entry so we can do a search for it. Thanks.

How to find out which one is the key to be found? Thanks. :)

install, run, close, uninstall Diskeeper

Run Registry Workshop http://www.torchsoft.com/en/download.html

go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID

sort order by date and find the key to the hour when you installed it will be one of them (if you installed already before you must remember exactly when it was)

sorry for my english but I hope that you understand :P

Search for "MiscStatus" instead, using upper/lower case sensitive search. I don't think there are many such values... Easier than chasing CLSID's...

@SHODAN

Doing what you suggested yielded, in my case, 900 key matches and 443 name/data matches...

I hope another way can be found :s
