LeetPirate
Hehe, some corrections to be made for this one, I don't know much about this player. The links have been fixed, we still need to work on a better translation for the description. The second paragraph of the description is not exactly grammatically correct so we will work on it. :P
harpua
I'm very pleased to see my favorite video player (well actually, media player, but so far I just use it for video) finally receive Front Page support on nsane. Thank you for that.It should be noted in the description that this player is being developed by the original developer/creator of the KM Player and that besides having a complete set of internal codecs, splitters and renderers, etc., it is also designed to be easy to set it up to use it with whatever external codecs (e.g., Core AVC) you might prefer for certain file types. So it gives users the best of both worlds, it's great as a self contained stand alone player that works great out of the box with default settings and also for more advanced users who like to tweak things. Shuvo
i m using it now but i have some questions. while i tried to play rmvb/rm file it gives me a msg saying i dont have the necessary audio codec installed and if i ignored it then video starts playing but there is no sound. KMP cant play rmvb and rm file by default so i have to use Klite mega codec pack or real alternative player. can this player play those file without the codecs?? does anybody know which player is a stand alone one?? i dont like VLC or MPC classic coz it doesnt seem to me easy to use Like KMP. harpua
PotPlayer is stand alone but if it can't play a particular file type by default, then you have to download and install the necessary codec, then dig into the PP menus and configure it to use that particular codec for the file type in question. So yes it can play it but will require some tweeking to get it set up for it. But this only has to be done once for that file type.
