Windows Firewall?

This is strange, when I open the Windows XP firewall from the control panel it shows the on and off button greyed out and stuck in the on position. The "Don't allow exceptions" button is functional as well as the tabs, when I did a scan with MS Baseline security analyzer with Zone Alarm Pro off it said Windows fire wall is disabled.Zone Alarm Pro is supposed to disable windows firewall when turned on but the windows firewall still shows it is on.Does anyone know what this means? I did virus and spyware scans and don't know how to correct this i think it's causing low id when i run emule. Any advise? :angelnot:

Are you sure it's saying it's on? Normally it would show that the system is secure (in that it would recognise a third-party firewall operating).

ume123, when the on and off are grayed out that means firewall is disabled. so regarding emule low id check something else like your router configuration!
