@dcs18

It seem the keymaker works very well on my x32 Windows 7 Ultimate...manage to register it under a different name.

Hope to get it to work on x64 system though.

Or export registry key from location:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Diskeeper Corporation]

Open exported key with Notepad and replace

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Diskeeper Corporation] with [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node]

Now import that key to registry. Run keygen and apply it. Now, export key from location

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node]

Change [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node] to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Diskeeper Corporation] using Notepad.

Import it to registry.

This is for those that don't have access to both, 32-bit and 64-bit Windows.

Cheers ;)

nah....I'll pass on these.<_<

Maybe someone can come up with a fix for x64.:wub:

Imagine if DK has a few upgrades like what happen to ProcessLasso?:fear:

One would be running around the x32 and x64 pc.:eekout:

I can live with "license to AGAIN".:towel:

Well, that's the issue!!!!!

The keymaker simply does not run on x64 bit.

@mara and dcs18

well I tried with instructions to the word but keygen does not work.

Here's what I did.......... Please advise or correct if you find 'Ive done any step incorrectly.

Install a fresh copy of Ent.Server (cleared all diskeeper entries in registry after removing previous install).

Administrator log in,stop antivirus.

stop diskeeper service... copy Tab.dll x64 to C:\Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation\Diskeeper

Start the Diskeeper service.

export registry key from location:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Diskeeper Corporation]

Open exported key with Notepad and replace

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Diskeeper Corporation] with [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node] .......................................one instance of the line found &replaced.

import that key to registry.

Run keygen .....................................Again all buttons greyed out.

Please advise.

@Levo

Can you upload that registry key, so I can check it out?

Cheers ;)

EDIT: Only one instance was replaced? There should be many more. Do replacement without [ ]. This works as I described. Screen shot attached.

@ dcs18

For which Diskeeper version specifically this fixed Tab.dll was released? I could update the patch with it.

try this one to make the keymaker to work on 64 bit Windows 7...

1. first be sure that you replace tab.dll from (x64-bit) 'Tab.dll' from the sub-folder of the 'Replacement' folder to the "C:\Program Files\Diskeeper Corporation\Diskeeper" directory.

2. Run the registry entry {imported from (x32-bit) system} and then click 'Yes' to have it added into your registry. here is the link: http://www.mediafire.com/ sharecode: ?jz5lh75iqzo11sx

3 .Run keygen and apply it. Now, export key from location [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Diskeeper Corporation] and save it to a .reg file ex: DK_2010fix.reg

4. right click the save registry file ex:DK_2010fix.reg and select edit or open it with notepad and delete all that contains "Wow6432Node"... then save the changes..

5. after you made the changes and save, merge it to your registry and enjoy the new registered name.. :) hope this works for you...

I know that they work fine, but for which version of Diskeeper? 14.0.913.0? Or some earlier build?

@ KotaXor

I didn't understand. Do you need that I convert the key for you?

Cheers ;)

@mara

tried replacing text without the brackets.

Now 21 entries replaced.

But all buttons still greyed out on running KG.

PS.Can't find the attachment button on the forum editor.How do i attach files?, surely one can attach without external links.

Press Reply button on the forum so full editor appears. Zip it, since you probably cant upload .reg extension.

Cheers ;)

@mara

Please check your PM.

@hackerz14

Thank you too.

@Levo

did the registry fix works?

Well I had applied the fix as suggested by mara and it worked.

Kind of same as your approach to this so i kept it at that.

Many thanks for the help and suggestions.
