wireless problem

ok ....here is my problem.... when i am on my wireless connection on my Toshiba satellite I can not log onto nsaneproductions...even with the windows fire wall turned off and even with the avg anti virus turned off.However when the same computer is hooked up to the router by a cable connection i can access nsaneproductions.com....anyone???? :P

is it only nsaneproductions or internet? what OS ur on?

it is nsane's website and a few other other similar sites...although i have no problems getting to ssupdater.com...i am running windows xp on my Toshiba satellite where this problem is happening

wireless doesnt work for the sites but lan does?

yes thats correct...no wireless access but there is access with lan....i ma thinking the router firewall has something to do with this

yes thats correct...no wireless access but there is access with lan....i ma thinking the router firewall has something to do with this

maybe someone has screwed with ur firewall, its not on auto. what wireless security u have, have you tried to backup settings and tried the reset button?

but the lan and wireless is going through the same router. so it cant be that. nor the host files. fiewall shoudnt be either.

do you use a different web browser between wireless and wired?

I was out for a few hours just got back and am now checking the router settings for LAN and wireless.......

fixed......I backed up Firefox settings on my vista desktop and transfered them to my laptop using moz backup...ended up having to delete all my personal data in Firefox on my laptop ie; download history saved bookmarks and passwords.....

i don't have any idea where the problems root cause was .... i would bet tho on going from a back up from vista machine to an xp machine was the problem somehow...and i am not that good at looking for the root of a problem like this :P

well at least its working now. nothing like a fresh start. though it does suck doing it :P

u can import bookmarks easy: Bookmarks ->"Fix bookmarks"->archive->"export" or "import"

yes.... i reinstalled my bookmarks and settings again from the moz back up program and all is fine
