There's still a great deal both we and our users can do to help out. It's just putting them "down on paper" so to speak and going from there. I always wanted to make a site such as the late NZB Zone, but there's a hell of a lot of work involved, and it's also getting people to switch. I mean I would find it very hard to switch from my own fave (Newzbin). They charge £0.25 ($0.50) a week and you get access to everything especially uncompressed NZB's. The costs involved are minimal. You're looking at £1.00 ($2.00) a month, although the minimum rate is set at 8 weeks. I have enough credit to last me until December 17th. Normally I wouldn't have got so much credit at once, but every Christmas for one week, they set prices at half price. I got almost 12 months for under £5 ($10).This might seem like small change, as the user will undoubtedly never need to top-up his account again for another 12 months but with so many users they're doing really well. They even had a competetion a while back for a new logo. The winner was paid £2000 ($3995). I'd guess and say they still had cash to spare. When I look at sites like this, I wish I'd been there. Not for the money. For sheer creative inspiration. They've modeled themselves on other sites, taken what's good from them and made it really worth something.Saying that though, if NZB Zone was still around I'd probably be using that more. Minimum $5 and you were a Premium Member for life. Small change indeed. Was one of the best sites around (when it worked!).A site for the people, by the people.Ideas welcome :pirate:Sam :pirate:

Zeus_Hunt
Heh, we could try that since PS turned out to fail...Or it was more successful than we imagined.Whats the point if it did not run long and left good ppl frustrated and their characters questioned... <_>I guess one good thing was that nsane learnt a few things... both good and bad.
