How to solve the problem? No shows, balloon tips of TNOD in systray, after waking the computer from sleep mode!

I added the key EnableBalloonTips (since there did not exist before!) in this path [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Ad

vanced] , assigned a value of 1, but still does not work! Only everything is fine after rebooting the computer! :huh:

i am unable to unfix the marafix v1.4 . i disabled the self defence option in eset smart security after that i opened mara fix then i clicked unfix it my system is just rebooting .......but unable to unfix it should i unfix it in safe mode ?

Hi everyone, I need your help.

I have a problem with NOD32 FiX v2.2 for NOD32 AntiVirus v2.70.39.0.

I install the fix the standard way, and it ads nod_eval servers to the registry.

After I reboot three more registry keys (big-number ones) are added to Scheduler.

Well,it will be difficult to find someone using that old version of Nod!!! We are updating to version 5! So, my piece of advice is UPDATE

If you keep on using that old version it would be like going to a war with arrows and bows. However good they might have been, nowadays they are not enough :lol:

As its about Eset v4 in this thread.

As suggested, maybe you should use Eset v4 instead or open a new thread asking for help.

We are updating to version 5! So, my piece of advice is UPDATE

I am indeed using v4.2 at the moment, will migrate to v5 as soon as it goes gold.

I use this last build of v2 on my old PC (bought back in 1993) because it runs on Win95.

The reason I asked for help right here is because this is the place I got this fix from,

and that was just around the time its autor (nsane) lost the source, rewrote it, and released it as v2.2.

I thought some of the older users might have used it on Win95/98 and would be able to give me some advice,

but I guess I was wrong, it has indeed been quite some time since NOD32 v2 was released. :)

PureFix 1.52 will remove all watermarks :)

Mara fix sounds good if you only need to download a trial and then lock it and get a fully functional ESET product. Why do some people use the other fixes that searches for updates / licenses? :huh: Mara updates it self and take care of everything after one installation - or does it? :unsure:

Both the box-mara fix and the eset pure fix set the trial date permanently, and all works perfectly. The one issue is that occasionally, perhaps once a month, eset trial servers are overburdened, and hence, the program will not update (it will check, but say that it is all kosher), however, it will be able to download the updates again in a day or two.

Its pretty awesome, been using purefix for ages no issues.

PureFix 1.52 will remove all watermarks :)

Hmm, tried it allready and the watermarks... i.e... upgrade to full version, trial ends in 31 days etc... are still there. I followed instruction to the tee.

Atleast "Pure Fix" works on Finnish+Swedish versions of ESET Smart Security,so I assume it/they work with any

language versions..

edit: Pure Fix gives error on "eguiUpdateLang.dll" file in non-english versions tho,but seems to work.

Thanks a lot for jogging my memory. I had to install 99 updates to bring XP SP3 to date but I completely forgot about .net framework.

Installing 4.0 didn't do it but either 3.5 SP1 or 3.0 SP1 did.

Thanks again for your help and all your work on the PureFix. Has worked flawlessly on my Win 7 Ult machine for months and is now working great on the EEE PC 901.

MINODLogin is a small device that will help us to keep our Eset Smart/Eset Nod updated.
For starters, it checks whether your licence continues to be valid, and if it not, it searches and installs another automatically so that you can keep your Eset/Nod updated and registered as if it were legal.

It is the best way to keep our antivirus updated since cracks, patches and fixes modify registry.

It a multilanguage device too: you can install it in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese or Czech!!! .

Caution:

1. Don't use fixes since it changes registries for updating to trial.
2. Don't use cracks because they modify exe, dll, registries and destabilize originals.

Besides don't use any fix or patch so that Minodlgin works effectively. If you have an older Minodlogin I would advise you to uninstall it before.

i had previously been using purefix 1.52 but on one of my systems eset trial got deactivated and stopped updating automatically, no idea why, cuz it had been running just fine last few months. i'm looking for an alternative source that works fine without user intervention.

Mine stop updating today asking for user and password I just reinstall eset and purefix 1.52 and now its updating again. no problems

Did you try this? If you were using a trial version and it asked for username/pass after using PureFix, then most likely it's a problem in ESET, not the fix. Hence, doing the thing in mara-'s post fixes the problem. ;)

i was thinking it may not have been the fix that was faulty cuz it had been working just fine for a few months. i was thinking more like maybe eset updated a few program files/components that rendered the fix ineffective hence when i reinstalled nod32 again, i disabled program updates. i didn't try that mara fix you linked to but i'm gonna add that server in anyways. thanks!
