Only tested the x86 CIS premium one. (there is a limit to how many WM I want it installed on :) ) All the installers have the same version number and are signed 8th of this month.

Thanks for the update, jalaffa. :)

What is going on at Comodo? Comodo Firewall installer downloads for me for x86 and x64 both show 5.1.168827.1159:

Somebody at the Comodo Forums noticed (after jalaffa, of course :)) that Comodo was updated and asked if this meant that v5.1 was now released. languy99, Comodo's Global Moderator didn't know so he installed it in a virtual 64-bit environment and confirms what jalaffa said — it installs 5.0.1142.

Strange that Comodo's Global Moderator didn't know anything about this update.

Agrees Night Owl :) It is slightly confusing this. They were for sure posting updated installers for the program to day. I got 5.0.163652.1142 after a fresh install. This version number has been mentioned in previous threads here also. Maybe users achieved that after doing an internal update?

The difference in version number in the installed software and the setup file itself ain't unusual in general. To be honest I can't remember how these numbers have correlated in the past for this specific software.

I think this "new" version is only for there new bundled add-on COMODO GeekBuddy

I noticed that thing during install. You probably found the answer for the update there. Cool :)

I have the available installers reverting back to an earlier version now - weird. Even weirder is that the timestamp of the latest is of today.

The version on the installers is wrong guys.
This is simply an installer change. Not a product update.
We will be replacing the files with the correct ones soon.

For the first time ever, I am impressed with this version. Still a bit too noisy with the otherwise excellent Defense+ and Firewall modules, and the Antivirus is of questionable quality, but they've really made an effort this time. Congrats to Comodo!
