HX1
This is the kind of boss you want to have. Any boss who believe that work is the number one priority is nothing more than a slave driver. When you take care of people, people have a strong tendency to take care of you.I actually agree on that point. The 'Slave Driver' in reality will try to keep pushing more out for less.. yet in the long run, the end result is that you have unproductive, angry, tired employees that cannot even function or support life of any kind. The even-longer-term effect is that they completely shut down.. all the way across the board... from the effect psychologically of the interpersonal infrastructure failing.. and failing other people as well.. then you burn up resources in training.. processing... and errors in bringing in someone new .. natural fallible things which will occur.. yet at this rate more often..Anyone in a position who truly is blinded by that ( greed and little worth of their employees.. not to be confused with a sense of urgency either ) should be fired, at bare minimum they need to be managed and re-assessed. ( Sometimes this will not occur until its too late.. and its has gone to the point that while it worked for the good employees that left or he fired..because he squeezed more out until it killed them - starts to show as new hires come in and then EVERYONE.. is worthless.. yet doing what they can - a watchful eye can see it ). When this is done a company can start to lose money, things that should have taken 5 minutes.. from an employees who is focused, healthy, happy and WANTS to do a good job and accomplish their goals... will now take an hour to accomplish as they drag buns all over.. can't seem to pull it together.. or even think straight.. will 900 interruptions from other disgruntled employees yacking about everything from busy-body gossip.. to the last asshol-ish thing the Slave Drive just said or did.. There are forms of psychological development and experience which can also reflect upon an employees actions... SO there can be a dynamic problem from all sides..But yeah what he states there is true.. though I don't drink Soda's of any kind.. it is something to remember.. it can be a hard balance however because when the pressure is on.. an employee or individual who is better taken care of usually will go a lot farther .. a lot faster... and you won't be replacing them tomorrow.. or the two weeks after that.. or dealing with a point of financial loss.. due to a lack of diligence and proper perspective.. given my the environment created..
