Outpost Firewall Pro 7.0.4

Let´s see for how long does this "new" serial work...

Anyway, I´m using the free edition of Outpost Firewall and I have to say that it´s pretty complete for what I need.

P.S: IF you´re going to unistall Outpost Firewall Pro, please follow these steps if you don´t want to reinstall Windows (like me):

Outpost Firewall Pro, Outpost Security Suite Pro, Outpost Antivirus Pro versions 6.0 - 7.0

http://www.agnitum.com/support/kb/article.php?id=1000159

If you have Outpost installed, but it is impossible to uninstall the product using Add or Remove programs, please, follow the instruction:

1. Boot into Safe Mode.

2. Run the file clean.exe from Outpost folder (by default C:\Program Files\Agnitum\Outpost < your product >). Your PC will automatically reboot. Note, that clean.exe runs without any visual notification and might take some time. (from 5 to 10 minutes)

If Outpost folder is not present, please, follow the instruction:

1. Download the file clean.zip (for 32-bit systems) or clean64.zip (for 64-bit systems) and unpack it into some folder which you can easily find. Note that for 64-bit version the file should also be renamed into clean.exe after unpacking.

2. Boot into Safe Mode.

3. Run the unpacked file clean.exe. Your PC will automatically reboot. Note, that clean.exe runs without any visual notification and might take some time.

How to boot in safe mode:

Please, see the following article for details on how to reboot in Windows Safe Mode: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315222/en-us.

P.S: NEVER use any uninstaller software like Your Uninstaller 2010 for uninstalling firewalls and antivirus programs !!!

That depends on which option of "uninstalling mode" you choose.

If you choose "super mode", like I did, the result was installing my Windows XP.

Why? Because of the f**** "Agnitum Firewall Driver", as soon as I restarted my PC, I had no Network, no Internet, no Ethernet Controllers, nothing!

I could never reinstall the network drivers of my 2 network cards because Windows didn´t recognize them, it was a nightmare of 3 hours trying to find a solution, none of them worked.

Anyway, I'll buy a Dell notebook with Windows 7 64bit in a few days :dance2:

Take care,

Gonzalo

Any firewall is better than Outpost, Outpost installer crashes, lol. Then it will crash other programs when you restart, lastly it will crash Windows 7 which is pretty tough to do so you could imagine the level of crap code in Outpost to cause it to crash Windows 7. Except Private Firewall, that just does not work, it says it's blocking stuff but it lets everything through, I tested it personally and Private Firewall was very leaky. I would never recommend that anyone ever use Private Firewall.

4 firewalls that are well designed and continue to work reliably over time are Look n Stop Firewall, Online Armour, PCTools Firewall, and Comodo Firewall. Of course Look n Stop and PCTools Firewalls aren't as bloated with other features but in terms of firewall performance all 4 of them are great.

hello dude i ask one stupid question, i just downloaded the lns fro the official website and installed on my windows vista ultimate x32 system, when it reaches driver installation my windows says driver is not singed i just ignored and said to install the driver but after reboot lns says it can be start because of driver error and checking in the device list the driver installed is not upto date  and i can't update it either so end up in giving the stupid firewall so is not that much good that my opinion :( :frusty:

Try changing the last letter or any one letter in the serial. Oftimes it makes the firewall keep on working. An old trick a friend once taught me!!!

Please report!!!

What I want to know how to do is block outpost from phoning home. Is there any way to tell the program itself not to let itself use the internet or would it hobble it completely?

OK~ this is what i did to solve license error temporarily

1. license error dialog show up

2. right click Outpost icon at system tray

3. Setting... -> General -> Update

4. Update schedule -> How often -> Manually

5. Apply -> OK

6. restart PC

7. re-enter ur Outpost serial ( i did it off-line, don't know if on-line work or not )

8. Down! Outpost work fine~

just wait for couple days to see if there're any patch or ....back to Comodo :P

hello dude outpost never call home for serial check until or unless you try to install the serial for the first time if my knowledge serves me correctly only the antimalware tries to communicate with the home to see there is update as well as in the loop hole they will given instruction in the outpost code itself when it check for update it will send the serial as well so use only the firewall not the antispyware component if not possible do not use it try some thing else that my idea not advice so best of luck.

ps: as well post above me clearly explain how to do so do not hesitate to try it bye bye. :frusty:

Yes, there are new working keys out there...

...but you have to be inventive and search for the correct manipulations to get you own Lifetime key!
