<img src="http://www.nsanedown.com/images/logos/Chrome.png" class="logo" alt="Google Chrome" title="Google Chrome" />Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier. Google Chrome also uses a brand new javascript engine (V8), which is much faster than existing javascript interpreters. This means you can create more complex and more intensive AJAX applications with fewer speed and processing constraints. Finally, Google Chrome is built on top of WebKit, so Google Chrome users will benefit from the CSS3 features being added to WebKit as those features are released.

Thanks, Bizarre :)

Instead of Firefox I prefer now Google Chrome stable version and Opera 10.63.3516.

This is byte-for-byte identical to 7.0.517.41 Beta that I downloaded last week. So the Beta build got promoted to the Stable release.

@DKT27: Looking forward to your benchmarking results. :D

Here you go:

Two benchmarks on a same day. :frusty:

Chrome is just catching up to Opera. Still unable to beat it. Either way, too bad I have some Firefox addons that Chrome will never have, and it never beats browsing experience of Firefox (even did few manual tests there).

@Night Owl: Updating has resetted my theme. Can you give me that blue one again?

Damn, my computer runs uber-fast when turned to full power. :)

DKT27: Thanks so much for the benchmarking results!! :w00t:

No problem, DKT27. I use Classic Blue Chrome Theme. Mac silver be gone! :battle: I believe you used the non-Aero version of this theme called Classic Blue Chrome Theme - NonAero

This message brought to you by Google Chrome 7.0.517.41. :D

It is incredibly fast :dance2: . But does it support Roboform now? So far the Rofoform bar hasn't appeared, perhaps I should re-install, but I am not sure it will support Roboform. I saw nothing in the changelog perhpas in the forums....?

LOL.

Welcome and thanks. :)

Mac looks sucks. :x

I don't think that non-aero was the theme, whichever it was, our "yuck" affected my decision. :D

No doubt Opera 10.70 is faster but with some bugs; I suggest those interested to choose 10.63... :) ... and Google Chrome latest stable posted by @Bizarre here ( v.7.0.517.41 ).

Cheers

Jofre

I've been using Chrome dev builds for the last 6~ months (currently 8.0.552.5) and I literally don't think it's crashed yet on my Windows 7 64-bit PC. That includes having some of the experimental labs/flags features such as GPU accelerated canvas 2D enabled.

Thanks for the update guys! Hey DKT27, can you post your PC specs for those benchmarks?

I believe the instability will not make your browser crash, but it should be from backend. Atleast in Chrome's case. :P

@32krazor23: I use same computer speed when I benchmark all the browsers (giving them proper justice).

Here it is:

i5-750 2.66GHz: overclocked to full power that intel speedstep allows, it will be 3.2GHz.

4GB DDR3 1333MHz.

ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB (full power, not overclocked).

EDIT: I also disable all the power saving features, internet using softwares and security softwares before benchmarking so that nothing stops it from going full power.

Well, it seems stable, but there are a few issues with secure connections (e.g. it requires to confirm certificate over ten times and sometimes it just stops working), which worked just fine on 6 and 5, ... Strange.
