Jon8c
Eh, I'm kinda new to tha forum, so I'm not sure if this topic goes here... Anyway, when I tried to download Trillian Astra, IE7 wouldn't open the download link (http://beta:[email protected]/sneakpreview/trillian-v4.0a-current.exe). But, if I take out the "beta:beta@," which I assumed to be the login info, the lnik would work and the login box would pop up. Well, I know there is a way for IE to login these kinda websites through the "login:password@" thing, but I don't know how to make it work. It's not much of a big problem, but I would really be thankful for help on this issue. ;) Thanks.
eBait
I guess this patch will work:REGEDIT4[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl][HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_HTTP_USERNAME_PASSWORD_DISABLE]"iexplore.exe"=dword:00000000"explorer.exe"=dword:00000000Save that bit as xxx.reg, then double click and press OK.Good luck,
