you basically have two options:

Skype and Gizmo Project.

(use an anti-virus app along with Skype)

edit:

not counting software intended for other niches such as Teamspeak.

Nothing has superior audio quality and encryption than skype.

However, some do have better features and/or GUIs.

As mentioned, Gizmo Project is one; Google Talk is another.

For gaming, you can use TeamSpeak (very low bandwidth + Passworded chats) or Ventrillo.

Of course you could use almost ANY IMMER: Msn, Windows Live Messenger, AIM, etc. -- they all tend to have voice chatting capabilities.

For international uses you could try: Internet Calls. Works as good as Skype to a landlines in other countries and for that you only need connection credits.

Is there any that use little memory and cpu (bandwith i dont care)? Because Skype uses an algorithm that need much cpu and mem (i've heard..)?
