myidisbb Posted April 5, 2007 Share Posted April 5, 2007 i remember have to find a free firmware on my win xp dvd player back in 2001. im pretty sure i remember reading that his site got taken down. dont even remember the collection site for it anyway. what region free software, firmware or code be nice and workable on vista 64? im overseas right now and i dont want to mess up and run a pal or other region coded dvd movie and get stuff with something i cant use back home. thank you. one world one region :nono: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Administrator Lite Posted April 5, 2007 Administrator Share Posted April 5, 2007 Alot of DVD's are setup to use mutliple region codes, while others use region region 0 (informally known as "worldwide"), you could always try a DVD, if it doesn't work, it isn't going to do any damage.You can try DVD region free: http://www.dvdidle.com/dvd-region-free.htmYou can change the region code on your DVD drive upto 5 time, so if your going to be in your current location for a while, this might be a good idea.
