a question;

I've KIS 2011, Can I use it too or it's not necessary ?

Not needed, KIS already has its own software firewall.

Is it better than comodo firewall

That would be relative to each person, you have to use it to see if you like it. I can guarantee you that it does not allow anything to get through and it is fast and light. It is for those who just want a pure firewall application without any additional real time execution protection or HIPS etc. Look n Stop is just a pure firewall. Setting up custom rules could look very intimidating but on their website they actually have rules for common applications you can just download and import. For example I downloaded the rule for BitTorrent and imported it into Look n Stop, then I just edit the rule and changed the port to the value I use for uTorrent and voilà it worked. The only extra thing I could say is that Comodo does have an easy way to just switch it to firewall only mode but Comodo firewall install file is about 50MB whereas Look n Stop is less than 2MB and while this is not a gauge on application performance some people may prefer the smaller installation.

Why not use the Windows firewall if you don't need additional component (HIPS, AV engine...) ?

Cheers.

Ease of configuration I would say. Also programs can auto configure exceptions in Windows Firewall and malware would certainly do it. I don't think Windows firewall is out of the box configured to block malware, not even sure they use a default deny rule. Not really sure but basically the reason I would opt for something like Look n Stop is the ability to configure it easily knowing that it works without having to second guess.

After careful testing, I reinstalled this on fresh 7x86 Enterprise with no errors and it is running now with Prevx Nsane Edition. Very impressed!

Spoke to soon! Memory Leak!!!! Watch this go from around 3,648k in memory to a whopping 178,456k in 5 hours! I started it and watched the memory go up incrementally every few seconds! This is very bad software. Those of you that think 6digit memory figures are no big deal forget the reason why memory leaks affect the entire operating system.

Don't say I didn't warn you!
