suddenly i cant see picture when i opened... *.MKV video file.... :s

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That`s why I love WinXP (32bits)---» MKV? - No problem here !

Which player are you using ? - Dont tell me it`s Windows Media Player...How about --» The KMPlayer or VLC Player ?

If you already have more than 1 player, click on the video file with right button mouse and choose "open with ".

The MPC-HC included with this update is screwed up. It crashed for me when trying to play MKVs using DXVA. I just downloaded MPC-HC from the official website, http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/, and overwrote it and it all works fine. I guess K-Lite must custom build his own MPC-HC or something and he screwed up this time.

That`s what I did ( from homepage ) and probably because of that all is fine here... So, I am not responsible , I didn`t upload, just said there was a new version out. :)

Same problem here, and I did the same as you to solve it. Official MPC-HC executable is 2MB bigger. Who knows why there is such difference.

Cheers ;)

There is a new update---» 6.3.9 (?)

http://codecguide.com/

the one link note actually been updated. still 6.3.8

i went ot the front page and downloaded Media Player Classic Home Cinema 1.4.2499.0

copy and paste the exe and the one dll into the 6.3.0 installfolderthat has the 3.6.8 in it too.

no more runtime errors and im going to test it and see if mpc is finally back to being stable. i notice for a while problems that i never use to have.

Well, the 6.3.9 version is released, with the only change of updating Media Player Classic Home Cinema, to a probably, fixed version. But none of the official mirrors are actually working. The first link does claim to have the latest version but it gives a error.
