Codec is short for Compressor-Decompressor. Codecs are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video. The K-Lite Codec Pack is designed as a user-friendly solution for playing all your movie files. With the K-Lite Codec Pack you should be able to play all the popular movie formats and even some rare formats. Bizarre™
@override:Are you using MPC-HC? Try using EVR or VMR-9.
Janus
The MPC-HC included with this update is screwed up. It crashed for me when trying to play MKVs using DXVA. I just downloaded MPC-HC from the official website, http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/, and overwrote it and it all works fine. I guess K-Lite must custom build his own MPC-HC or something and he screwed up this time.

Who knows why there is such difference.Cheers ;)

Administrator DKT27 Posted September 9, 2010 Author Administrator Share Posted September 9, 2010 Well, the 6.3.9 version is released, with the only change of updating Media Player Classic Home Cinema, to a probably, fixed version. But none of the official mirrors are actually working. The first link does claim to have the latest version but it gives a error.
