jalaffa
Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds, resume and schedule downloads. Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use. Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance.Download

harpua
There's a simply fix for that problem. You have to put nsane's proxy ( http://proxy2.nsanedown.com* ) in the right exclusion list under the proxy tab in IDM's options: Then IDM won't be used with nsane.down.com and won't give you such problems. Night Owl
No problem here either. Check to see if your hosts file directs www.internetdownloadmanager.com to another Web site.EDIT: Your Windows 7 C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file should end in this (unless you've made additions to it):# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.# 127.0.0.1 localhost# ::1 localhost
Administrator DKT27 Posted September 1, 2010 Administrator Share Posted September 1, 2010 Yup, works fine. And yes you have to remove the site from HOSTS file. If that still doesn't work, make sure your computer is not infected.

Administrator DKT27 Posted September 1, 2010 Administrator Share Posted September 1, 2010 CMD >ipconfig /flushdnsEDIT: Hmm. Scan your PC for any infections.
Marik
1. Start2. Run3. Type "cmd" and press enter4. In the command window type "ipconfig /flushdns"5.a If done correctly it should say "Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache."5.b If you receive an error "Could not flush the DNS Resolver Cache: Function failed during execution.", follow the Microsoft KB Article 919746 to enable the cache. The cache will be empty however this will allow successful cache-flush in future.
Night Owl
is this faster than lets says FireFox 3.68 default DL? TIA! -peace ;)Yes, IDM can be much faster than Firefox's built-in download manager. Firefox can only download one stream, but IDM breaks the download into 8 parts and dowloads them all simultaneously. Frequently, my IDM downloads are slightly faster than the rated speed of my internet connection. :w00t:It depends on where you download from though. Downloading from, say, Rapidsh__ probably won't be any different (Rapish__ and some others don't allow multiple streams to be downloaded simultaneously).
