Hmm - I asked the same question internally - why host the files when they can be easily downloaded :) That's not the case with you? I find it peculiar that you can not download it from official site.

Adobe like many other sites has banned some countries (political reasons)

Hmm - I asked the same question internally - why host the files when they can be easily downloaded :) That's not the case with you? I find it peculiar that you can not download it from official site.

When you try to download from the Adobe Flash Player page, you are told:

Firefox prevented this site (get.adobe.com) from asking you to install software on your computer.

To avoid installing Adobe's download manager, direct "secret" Adobe links are required.

Here's the history of why direct download links from Adobe are on the Frontpage now:

nivrid05: I'm sorry about that Night Owl, but no pun intended, the guys just decided to frontpage this now because adobe will make us use it's own download manager just to get this update, which for us is kinda crappy way of doing it, so for everybody's sake, it's now frontpaged so we can download it directly.

LeetPirate: The only reason we listed it was because Adobe decided to force their rubbish download manager down everyone's throat for a 2.5MB file. Who the hell needs a download manager for a 2.5MB file???
