<img src="http://www.nsanedown.com/images/logos/IDM.png" class="logo" alt="IDM" title="IDM" />Internet Download Manager (IDM) is a tool to increase download speeds, resume and schedule downloads. Comprehensive error recovery and resume capability will restart broken or interrupted downloads due to lost connections, network problems, computer shutdowns, or unexpected power outages. Simple graphic user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use. Internet Download Manager has a smart download logic accelerator that features intelligent dynamic file segmentation and safe multipart downloading technology to accelerate your downloads. Unlike other download managers and accelerators Internet Download Manager segments downloaded files dynamically during download process and reuses available connections without additional connect and login stages to achieve best acceleration performance.

This sounds great:

Fixed compatibility problems with different browsers including Google Chrome.

Is it me or does the new beta build have PC freezing powers? So essentially it still doesn't help with the constant Chrome crashing problems either. Now I'm back to 5.19 :(.

That has happened before but the beta just froze the whole PC, so I had to do a hard shut down.

Dotnetnightmare

I kept having my computer freeze completely and I reinstalled windows 8 times last night and even thought my SSD might have given up and switched out hard drives!!! It started after I installed this and firefox 4.0b2. I kept reinstalling this on every fresh install. I have my PC running now and couldn't figure out the cause so I eliminated all Beta & Alpha everything! 24hrs of living hell!!!

8 times?????

why you need to do something like this?

if your know the cause of your problem, why you want your nightmare to be happen over and over again

both software still BETA, so don't hope too much from it

stick with final version unless you want another 24hrs of living hell + new SSD
