. . . . . . . . . . after installation, I got to the same website - dunno why I feel like a beta-tester. :unsure:

Thanks for the update. :)

It's in releases folder, so it's final for sure. ;)

The 'release' folder contains the final release, the RC release, the beta release . . . . . . . . . . . and the alpha release as well. So the 'release' folder is not a sure way to judge. :nono:

I personally feel the 3.6.7 posted here is the final . . . . . . . going by the dates in the 'release' folder. :yes:

The folder in the release folder would be named x.x.xb or x.x.xrc, if it's beta or rc. ;)

Here's the good old-fashioned way (wonder whether Firefox beta is displayed as such in the 'about' section.):-

:think: Wonder why the date is behind by one week. :unsure:

They have to test it before it gets shipped.

EDIT: shought is right. dcs18's red circle should have gone around "Gecko/20100713".

@dcs18

That's the date the rendering engine (Gecko) got released, not the browser ;)

-----

Also our guys always make sure the stuff they're posting is verified and indeed released, so don't worry, Mozilla is just a little behind on updating their welcome page (which is why you see the Beta welcome page when they haven't updated it yet, why they use the same URL amazes me though).

I buy that argument. :)

@ shought

No worries, this was just a chain of thoughts. I know the posted version is final. :yes:

I know, it was just in general (to anyone having any doubts ;)).

@Night_Owl

You betcha I'm right :rolleyes:

That's the law!

Rule one: shought is always right.

Rule two: if rule one doesn't apply then shought is right anyway.

It's like a law of science; gravity, for instance :P

(Nah, for real, I'm wrong all the time(s) I'm not right...)

I don`t mind to be a beta tester... Thanks for posting here this update, but right now I prefer v.4.0 also beta. :)

This is not a Beta. Even if the startpage (its located online and can be dynamically updated whenever mozilla feel like it) hasn't been updated the actual files are the "final" one.

Here's tete009's modified custom build of Firefox 3.6.7:

- changed icons to Firefox defaults

- changed Namoroka strings to Firefox / Mozilla Firefox

- applied upx compression on some files

- removed unnecessary files / folders

If some of you are interested, here you go: Link

Thanks for support (I kind of feel that you are 100% supportive all the time though :) )

Mozilla has decided to update pages now... at least the changelog one provided on the frontpage :)
