SUPERAntiSpyware Professional 4.40.1002 Problem...

Heya maties. :) I haven't had any problems with SuperAntiSpyware Pro before but, just recently, after a system recovery, I went ahead and installed the latest version. After that, the fix didn't work. The buttons were blocked out. I'm guessing that this might be because the 64-bit has automatically been installed onto my system; the program recognized that I have a 64-bit OS. So, is there a 64-bit fix available yet? Btw, how about adding a little note about this situation (fix doesn't work on 64-bit OS), on the listing, might help some people. :think:

Go here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SUPERAntiSpyware.com\SUPERAntiSpyware

right click it and and copy

then go here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node and paste

This only works if you've installed the application first.

There is something similar needed to make the yag serial for Game Jackal working in 64-bit.

Thanks for the fix Jalaffa. :) But, I'm a bit of a newb with registry, mate. I went into regedit and saw both of those keys but, I had no idea how to copy and paste one into the other (normal copy and paste doesn't work or keyboard shortcuts). :( Think you can break down these steps for me, mate? ^_^

When in regedit, choose to export the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SUPERAntiSpyware.com] key to a reg file.

Edit that reg file to have (add \Wow6432Node)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SUPERAntiSpyware.com]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SUPERAntiSpyware.com\SUPERAntiSpyware]

Then run that reg file . Keygen & patch works on a 64-bit setup then :)

I'll add a read.me file with this info. Keygen must be run with admin permissions also.

Funny thing. On my main 64-bit setup where I use a legit key the key in Wow6432Node are missing also. Maybe that is the reason why I after every update need to reenter the key and activate it.

I followed what you said there, mate but, it didn't really work out. :( I ran the reg file but and the fix was working, as in the buttons weren't grayed out anymore. And after patching/generating reg, the app still stayed a trial version. :fear: Maybe, I'm doing something wrong here...Is there a pre-made reg file already available for download? :think:

After entering the first number given by the keygen. You must select to activate it with the "I want to enter the activation code manually" option. Then when asked you enter the second line of code given by the keygen.

Great, that worked! :thumbsup: This whole time I was trying to do it through the keygen, instead of manually entering it (because it works that way in x86). Thanks, mate. I owe ya one. :cheers:

Ok finally got it working. I was editing the wrong file.
