Is it worth upgrading from version 3.14.130099.587 yet?

They are going to give v3.14 users the update notification starting from 7th June. So I guess they are feeling that it's safe now.

I've downloaded it. But I'll wait for the final verdict of Bizarre™. :)

Yes, I'd really like to see what Bizarre™ thinks of this latest update too. :)

i had Comodo Internet Security 4.0.141842.828 installed (firewall only without hips and AV cause i have Avira Free AV installed), hit the Update button, it successfully updated all neccessary files to version 4.1.149672.916. All was ok, i had Comodo 4.1.149672.916 firewall with Avira no probs. So i decided to download the Comodo Internet Security 4.1.149672.916 installer and do a clean installation, after uninstalling Comodo completely and than doing a fresh install with the brand new installer, it told me it was incompatible with Avira AV! :(

... IMHO, Comodo is moving a bit too fast, not being compatible with Avira AV or any other apps is just ridiculous...

btw, i need the previous Version 4.0.141842.828 installer since it worked with Avira, cause i went and deleted it....any one have it??

I keep trying to update from my present version (last months version) and getting an error so the update fails. Guess I will just wait a while for things to become clearer before trying any other updates.

I haven't used Comodo in awhile, but have been thinking of going back. What's the deal on this "premium" version? Is it a paid for version, or still a free firewall?

Info about the premium version can be found in the link in post #3.

It's free. ;)

Bizarre™

Thanks for the update :)

I'm gonna post my findings later.

Edit:

I went back to v3. I guess v4 is built for Windows Vista / 7.

I tried different configurations, but I only get a score of 310 on CLT.

Also, I didn't notice the Sandbox button they were featuring on video.

Anyway, I'll still try every build they will release and always post my findings.

I installed the new premium version (w/o AV since I use ESET). Seems fine so far. Mostly bug fixes as far as I can tell (and doesn't try to install any toolbars etc.).

Just wanted to note that the Sandbox feature is present on the new premium version (at least on my W7 system). So far it seems very stable. I'll be sticking with this till the next update.

I installed it yesterday when my internet was down. And so far so good. No bugs found. No errors. No BSOD's. I'm happy. :)

The only thing I don't understand is, when it asks for allow/block some programs, it shows the window in yellow sometimes and sometimes in red.

@Bizarre™: Did you enable the sandbox?

I don't want it's sandbox though.

It's super easy to enable and disable the sandbox as may be needed simply by right clicking on the Comodo system tray icon and hovering over the sandbox menu item. Then one can select enabled or disabled from that menu. So I keep it enabled mostly and simply disable it when I'm doing something where it is likely to get in the way.
