Rajesh
I tried KIS as well as NIS 2010. KIS slows down program execution periodically. But NIS gives a lot of warnings, and quarantines few of the keygens / patches I use.. But I am more comfortable with this "extra cautious".. better a false alarm than a malware that gets thru. So, Ultimately i stick to NIS, and keep my keygens in password protected rars after creating one set of key and storing in txt file (in a virtual environment). As per cracks, i try to avoid anything that changes the exe. Have been using NIS happily for several months, in conjunction with MBAM.
swordman
Norton does well in protection , but ESET is more faster, it's up to what you need.
dave1977nj
Anyway if u still want AV, I recommend this: http://www.immunet.com/ It's cloud based, free and no "eating" resources like traditional solutions. ;) (I think this should be on frontpage)immunet is helpful but what a pain in the ass it is to uninstall it. Dionysos
I find that Norton 360 V4 eats no resources . . . same as Eset v4. Used Both. Happy with Both.
RadioActive
There's no comparison between them to begin with! NIS is a far more advanced product feature-wise. ESS isn't half bad, but it's more like a bare-bones product.NIS: superior overall protection, lightweight, but it does tend to take control from you regarding your own security, which might suit some people but not me. Plenty of false positives.ESS: good overall protection (but I don't have much faith in its Firewall), fairly light on system, reasonably customizable, few false positives.Choose which you prefer, and for the record I use neither of them at the moment (I use Avast Internet Security 5 in case you're curious).
