x0o
is that a speaker box? if so, it's a good idea, could but a big 12 inch exhaust fan on the mofo  haha, well. almost right, its made out of wood and its got a speakermat glued on it!I would paste more pictures if i had any good ones, the only ones i have are old, from the first version, and there it looks like crap. ): But if you still want to check them out, and see how i built it: http://medlem.spray.se/sl1ce/cube/ (the stats listed here are old as well)Here is some info: (copied from sweclockers.com)----------:----------Weight: 22kg (incl components)- 120 mm very powerfull fan, with 45ppi filter, in front. (INTAKE)- 4 x Cooler master 80mm silent fans, 2x on top (EXHAUST, yellow leds), behind (INTAKE, blue led, with 100ppi filter) and one modded into an old pci-card, serves as extra cooling for gpu! (green).- Zalman CNPS7000-Cu CPU Cooler- Rheobus Fancontroller 3.5 Black.- Power-button made from an old phantom-ring (wires from old case).- Covered in black speaker-clothing.- Copper vent on top.- CCFL: Green Bitsmodding Cold Cathode Light-kit.- Powerfull handles on both sides.- CD/floppy-holders, back panel and mobo-holder were taken from old case and painted.- HDD-holder is made from two metal plates with holes in (? B)). These plates also serve as passive cooling for the harddrives!~ Pros:- It cools really well. HDD: 120mm, CPU: extra 80mm, top: 2 x 80mm, GPU: extra 80mm.Temp readings (speedfan), (Max load 2h means playing FarCry at highest graphics for 2h), (Idle means idle:ing for two hours after playing FarCry, chatting on msn, surfing.. ):Temp outside case: 21.8'CTemp inside case: (Idle: 29.1'C), (Max load 2h: 32.8'C)CPU:(Idle: 35'C - Max load 2h: 42'C)GPU:(Idle: 40'C - Max load 2h: 50'C)HDD1 - System disk:(Idle: 27'C - Max load 2h: 33'C)HDD2:(Idle: 21'C - Max load 2h: 28'C)HDD3: N/A- The 16mm solid wood makes it really quiet!- Imo it looks really cool, and im proud to have built it!- It makes a great foot-rest!~ Cons:- I can hardly get it into my car/out of the front door :P- Its really heavy, but i actually like that, feels reliable (:----------:----------

box
Box, why don't you try RAID 5. It doesn't lose all the data when 1 HDD crashes.I am not concerned with loosing data. I am more concerned with when data was backup. I backup the secondary once a month and the primary once a week or before traveling. The problem with me is that I have the tendencies to delete files that I don't think I needed then discovered that I do need them.
LeetPirate
Raid 5 wastes an extra HDD just to hold checksums. Raid 1+0 is the best for everyday usage where fault tolerance is needed.
