Hi, guys. Do you know where can I download an offline software installer for Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000? Because the download at webcam's site is an online and at the middle of the install fails I don't know why.

Yup from Microsoft's site. 28.18MB may not be an online installed. So mostly it would be a offline installer.

You are right. And I'm really surprised to see an 28MB online installer.

ANW if the software is failing to download for you atm, do you want a driver only version? No software, just the webcam driver.

Very hard to find (so far) :( . This is what I read:

You need to download a 50MB installer, which then downloads another 150MB: DirectX, the .NET framework and other components required for the (useless) software. Without network connection, you cannot install the driver. Also, (of course) you're forced to install the software, too.

So if you are willing to download driver only, go here and select the Windows 7 download link.

Also I can read that the software has some problems installing it.

ANW I'm off for now.

DKT, when you install the soft, it makes a temp folder with program files. May you compress them into a RAR file and send to me? (Install the program, and after closign it when install finishes, copy the folder)

I'll try. Hope that it doesn't delete any file before I copy them.

Seems that Microsoft is to be blamed here:
