Bizarre™
Foxit Reader is a free PDF document viewer and printer, with incredible small size, breezing-fast launch speed and amazingly rich feature set. In the past, you have to download a huge PDF Reader from another software company, go through a lengthy installation process and wait for an annoying splash window to disappear just to open a PDF document. Moreover, if you want to annotate a PDF document, you have to pay US$299 to buy that certain PDF software.Download

Atasas
...why are we still paying attention to infested bloatware? (ad-ware etc)Once again- My recommendation for alternative (alternative for Adobe obviously) would be CoolPDF reader or STDU viewer or Sumatra PDF

Administrator DKT27 Posted May 21, 2010 Administrator Share Posted May 21, 2010 That ask installing without asking bug was solved in the last build. So you'll see no ask toolbar being installed without asking. ;)

Jota.Ce
Thanks !Banner can be erased as it was any other tool bar. And Ask button, just like dcs18 indicates.I'd like to know if SumatraPDF or CoolPDF are so big as Foxit. I really don't care about rendering, but about compatibility with 99% of PDFs (yeah, i won't ever install Adobe for 1 extra percent). Portable versions of those programs are lightning-fast, but... are they useful at at least 98% ???I'll try them anyway.Fast try: CoolPDF is unusable, lacks of *basic* functions as scrolling or even PageDown key. SumatraPDF seems nice ! (but it is a simple program without advanced functions, just like the very necessary printing options). I'll stick to Foxit for a long time anyway.I'ts true i noticed a big slow-down when changing from v2.3 to 3.0, so... should i step back to older version ? I think v3.x doesn't offer me anything more than v2.3.
info-gela
I did just like dcs18 said, but it didn't work... Look:=/Edit: Just to inform, after uncheck the box I clicked Ok > Closed the Foxit > Opened it again and it still shows the Ask button...
