sanjoa
Hi, guys! I've got a virus warning after downloading MBAM Keygen. I'm using ESET NOD32 V. 3.0.695.0 antivirus. According to virustotal is a false positive. Virus check at VIRUSTOTAL
shought
Yup, false positive. Not sure why you posted about it though, you already know it's a false positive... I guess just 'to let us know', that's ok :) Thanks.
Administrator DKT27 Posted May 10, 2010 Administrator Share Posted May 10, 2010 As long as you download it from proxy.nsanedown.com , no one needs to worry about a thing.BTW, I remember, once Lite mentioned a special method to scan the fixes if virustotal is not sufficient. What was it.
Marik
As long as you download it from proxy.nsanedown.com , no one needs to worry about a thing.BTW, I remember, once Lite mentioned a special method to scan the fixes if virustotal is not sufficient. What was it. :unsure:perhaps he was referring to anubis http://anubis.iseclab.org/anyways...ofc it's a false positive. Always think of it this way.If you're a software manufacturer, would you want your app to get keygened/cracked/patched?ofc not...and that's the very reason you appeal to av companies to include the latest fix(s) for your software in their av database. sanjoa
I think those who have the money, they should afford and pay for every soft they use. Fixes are for those who can't pay for a soft.

shought
@DKT27It wasn't one of the sites Marik just posted...I can't recall it either though.
Administrator DKT27 Posted May 10, 2010 Administrator Share Posted May 10, 2010 Thanks for the links marik. Your sites are really useful. But they don't seem what Lite once suggested in his post. They all are simple file scanners. Your first link in the previous post is a unique site, but...Maybe Lite can answer it. ANW, I'll try to search all the posts if I can find anything. Administrator DKT27 Posted May 10, 2010 Administrator Share Posted May 10, 2010 The only thing I can find is this post. Lite didn't mention the method. :(
Marik
well the only other site I could think of is the site I usually use, that being ThreatExpert....but it doesn't support files larger than 5 MB....If Lite knows another site, I would also like to hear it
shought
That's the one, I believe.
Administrator DKT27 Posted May 11, 2010 Administrator Share Posted May 11, 2010 I dunno. I'm waiting for Lite to reply. :(
Administrator Lite Posted May 12, 2010 Administrator Share Posted May 12, 2010 Threat expert is a good tool, but its not the method i use :P . An alternative is Sunbelt Sandbox (supports larger files)Process Monitor is a really powerful tool. Port Reporter can be helpful too.
