Some alternatives to CCleaner: (all of them better than CCleaner 7!!!)

  • BleachBit
  • Glary Utilities
  • Kerish PC Doctor
  • Privazer
  • WiseCare 365
  • Advanced System Optimizer
  • Fortect
  • Ashampoo WinOptimizer
  • Outbyte PC Repair
  • JCleaner
  • Driver Booster
  • FileCleaner
  • Privacy Eraser

And which is best, sorry if I am asking in wrong thread.

It's a shame what this company has done to this great product... I'll continue using 6.39 until there's no other alternative but to switch to other products. I recommend using AC System Security and WiseCare instead. Rest in peace, CCleaner.

i managed to install it on another PC and IT SUCKS. it lacks most of the useful stuff from the old ccleaner, plus it installs a background service. what a POS.

like I said in an earlier post, they finally managed to destroy a once great program.

Informational only:

Since Avast acquired Piriform back in 2017, it appears they're finally making some big changes.

Version 7.x has been in Beta since early Summer and is finally being pushed out as a very similar product they currently offer.

https://www.avast.com/en-us/cleanup

it got much worse once avast merged with norton (called Gen digital).

Yet another possible option to add to the alternative list:

This is definitely NOT as feature rich (somewhat bloated now) as CCLeaner, but this little utility has no ads, toolbars and is very lightweight.

System Ninja - https://singularlabs.com/software/system-ninja/

be careful with all those alternatives, most of them install background services and/or processes that waste memory and delay windows startup. For example, glary utulities and wise care do that.

BleachBit and System Ninja are ok.

Guys, easy - just use BleachBit. It's open source free software and very powerful. Remember, Hilary Cliton used it to "clean up" her email server, that should be a big endorsement of it. Try it out!

@jvidal R-wipe & clean. You can add everything from winapp2.ini to it and more!

Glary Utilities startup services can be disabled and also Wise Care 365 services.  (You can try Glary Utilities portable too) All this apps can be "tweaked".

Avast already destroyed it. CC devs need money to keep alive. Since then I threw it in the basket ! Good reputations down by bad guys. I'm using Privazer free. Thats good enough although analysing and cleaning bit longer.

@Pete 12 You have R-Drive Image or AOMEI backupper to "avoid" severe problems! Schedule a daily backup of your system drive and stay safe! 😉

don't waste your time, download links don't work.

I find it hard to believe that corporations are actually paying employers to make life difficult for people like us!!!
