I wouldn't even bother, I downloaded the offline installer, but it doesn't work. nothing happens when you open the installer. it just creates a process (which can be seen in task manager) but it doesn't do anything.

I believe this is the end of ccleaner as we know it. I think it's been replaced by the same "cleanup" component of avast, now renamed "ccleaner". The idiots at Gen digital finally managed to destroy a great product.

@SPECTRUM We’re already aware of that since CCleaner hasn’t released one yet, and they probably won’t release one for version 7.

Gordian Knot

Has anyone tried the slim online installer?

https://www.ccleaner.com/ccleaner/download/slim

You might get the offline executable if you're fast enough. AFAIK they remain in the temporary folder (%TEMP%) for a few seconds and then get automatically deleted when installation is complete.

this link gets the useless online installer, we already have the links for the offline installer.

CCleaner is completely banned here. It's no longer good and it's rented yearly like Adobe and others!

I agree, I'll be using v6.39 from now on.  I only use the portable version of CCleaner, so I can't use v7 unless they release a portable version - winner winner, chicken dinner!

@Pete 12 Ace Utilities is a capable cleaner but the interface is dated and needs to be modernized.

Informational only:

Since Avast acquired Piriform back in 2017, it appears they're finally making some big changes.

Version 7.x has been in Beta since early Summer and is finally being pushed out as a very similar product they currently offer.
