As reported on author forum, the resource version is wrong.

Since the developer ghisler confirmed on 2025-08-18, 21:42 UTC that he forgot to update the main executable resource version, the current release keep showing version 11.55 instead of 11.56.
"Sorry, I forgot indeed. I changed the resource date for the installer but not for the main executable. But it doesn't really matter, TC 11.55 and 11.56 are almost identical, the real changes and the reason for the update are in the unrar (and 7z) dlls. I will therefore not re-release 11.56, sorry."

But, he finally decided to re-release the 11.56 installer with corrected version number.

" Edit : I have changed my mind: An updated installer dated 2025-08-19 is available now with the resources fixed. No new version number is used because I just patched the date and version number in the file and didn't recompile the program. You don't need to install this update if you already have 11.56, the functionality isn't affected."

So now a newer installer is available.

Those how want get the lasted needs to download and reinstall the newer revision.

 

BTW, next version with many fixes is coming soon....

I installed the combined installer yesterday and it showed the correct version number (11.56)

The first release installer that was released on 18.08.25 actually show 11.56, but if you check the main executable [Totalcmd64.exe /Totalcm.exe] under installed directory you will see that both has version 11.55 instead of 11.56
