I love how on their website they do not mention what this product does. Does anyone know?

Turn your desktop into a room with four walls and a floor.. or like a real desktop.. Now throw all of your files on it.. and throw them around.. organize them in stacks... open them, delete them.. do weird things with them..

I remember when this was presented as an idea.. looked at like a brand new idea for staying organized.. yet I see it as the same old way .. just its digitized.. not to mention that RealDesktop was already written and distributed at the time..

There are backgrounds you can download and stuff.. supposed to be real easy for tablet users, stylus runners, and touch screens.. .. for me it just creates a problem in being visually slouchy... and I keep nothing on my desktop...not even LNK files.. but anyway thats what it does.. Interesting idea but for me.. not an addition I will be making.. I was even on the Beta trial for it.. but by then I was over it..

EDIT: Didn't realize this was an end-of-life statement.. why there is no information at the site anymore.. I wonder what the next EXCITING direction is going to be..LOL

It was cute eye candy for about a week. It amused my thirteen year old son for another week. Then it found my recycle bin.

Nothing technically wrong with it. But it is one of those fads that was fun for a bit.

If you want a toy.. go for it.. Its free.. LOL

Regressive in ideal, and function... while the whole idea was just the opposite.. to be progressive an offer greater efficiency... ( but created basically the same issue as having a desktop full of documents.. great for people who are not capable of breaking through to change - but not really ).. and in a way I think this may depend on the needs of an individual.. I can outrun it with shortcut keys in a matter of seconds.. Creates a problem I think mentally when coming up on efficient paths of thinking .. creates more of a problem that it solves, creates a handicap..

I don't recommend it..

I am used to having only the recycle bin icon on my desktop and nothing else ... so this one is not for me

lol that is the worst announcement ever. They put how they are proud to by acquired by Google, and that they stop selling their product, and have no plans to update it... all in the same paragraph. interesting look application. I'll have to give it a try.
