sandy4fun34
Hey folks, Recently I uninstalled the chrome and reinstalled it because of lag issues. After reinstalling when I tried to add the Ublock Origin extension from webstore. But it has been unsupported by chrome for some time. Then I installed the UBlock lite extension but isn't as efficient as Ublock Origin. Is there any way to add Ublock Origin to chrome manually? Skunk1966
easiest way is to add a registry key (Ublock Origin enable Chrome.reg) so you can add ublock origin to chrome the way you install all addons for chrome Download: Site: https://buzzheavier.com Sharecode [?]: /rbd6dnbopg1v Simply download, unpack and double click to add the registry key. Reboot Windows, open Chrome and go to this page: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/ublock-origin/cjpalhdlnbpafiamejdnhcphjbkeiagm?hl=en to install ublock origin Easy, sandy4fun34, Wellington Britto and 1 other 1

All you need to do when you want it is to add the reg file which I posted just above your reply. You'll be able to install it from the webstore if you follow the procedure Edited May 9, 2025 by Skunk1966 RobrPatty
RobrPatty
Instead I downloaded chromium extention from github. Which is updated reguarly. Added to chrome using developer mode. No need for registry entry. https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases/tag/1.63.3rc2 edit: just noticed the video above explains whole process. Asim
Just use Brave; it already has an adblocker and has the option to add uBlock Origin or AdGuard in settings. Currently using uBlock Origin in Brave Browser. Edited May 9, 2025 by Asim
andy2004
does anyone know how to stop ublock from popping up its OWN window. quote " uBlock Origin Prevented the Following Page" from showing. i've read you can change STRICT to false and that would fix it.. however. that then enables the sites which i dont want to popup to popup.. I've read that i need to install a 2nd popup blocker to block that page which usually has the url of CHROME:// but so far i havent found one that works with newmoon.. a palemoon clone that works perfectly for XP to 7.. and can still use all the old ADDONS

Spoiler Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Google\Chrome] "ExtensionManifestV2Availability"=dword:00000002 code in the spoiler so you can create your own reg file Edited July 12, 2025 by Skunk1966 sandy4fun34

I just tested in Windows 11 24H2 (see pictures). 1st picture is without added reg file, 2nd is after adding the regfile + reboot and 3rd one shows ublock origin added after reboot Edited July 12, 2025 by Skunk1966 sandy4fun34
