jalaffa
Skype is a little piece of software that lets you make free calls to anyone else on Skype, anywhere in the world. And even though the calls are free, they are really excellent quality. If you and your friends, family or business contacts are using webcams, you can also make free video calls. You can even call landlines and mobile phones at really cheap per minute rates (and there's no setup or subscription fee). Thanks to onurlale for the update.Download

harpua
I've gone back to Skype 4.1 because the newer versions (including this one) install an always present icon on the task bar that can't be turned off or removed without exiting Skype. I prefer to have nothing from Skype in the taskbar except when the app is open and being used and to have the Skype icon hidden in the notification area (what used to be called the system tray). I will not be updating to a new version of Skype until Skype comes out with a new version that allows the user to keep Skype off the Taskbar while the program is running in the background. iaTa
If you run Skype in Windows Vista compatibility mode you will only have an icon in the system tray.Same goes for MSN Messenger too.
